Richtig erscheint mir auf jeden Fall, dass politische Entscheidungen nicht mehr transparent dargestellt werden und deshalb bei den Betroffenen auf Unverständnis treffen - höchstwahrscheinlich würde bei einigen Entscheidungen Transparenz auch gar nicht für mehr Verständnis sorgen.
In einem ersten Schritt sollten Verwaltung und Staat sich darauf zurück besinnen, dass sie für die Menschen da sind und nicht die Menschen für Verwaltung und Staat: und dies sollten auch Politiker beherzigen. (Z.B.: Ich finde es durchaus sinnvoll, mich ausweisen zu können. Dafür benötige ich jedoch keinen zusätzlichen Schnickschnack auf dem Ausweispapier und muss dann auch noch einen Haufen Geld für dieses Papier bezahlen. Immerhin sei mit dem Ausweispapier ein erhöhter Verwaltungsaufwand verbunden - bekomme ich dann zu hören - den ich eben bezahlen müsse. Aber genau diesen Verwaltungsaufwand bezahle ich doch mit meinen Steuern.)
Im zweiten Schritt sollten Politiker vorher überlegen, wenn sie staatliche Leistungen privatisieren. Nach allen bisherigen Erfahrungen sind mit der Privatisierung die Kosten für den Verbraucher gestiegen und wirklich kundenfreundlicher ist es auch nicht geworden. Okay, jetzt kommt wieder der Telefonmarkt, der günstiger geworden ist. Aber wer sagt denn, dass dieser Markt nicht auch günstiger geworden wäre, wenn er Staatsmonopol geblieben wäre? Dafür haben wir jetzt eine ziemlich große Behörde, die den freien Markt kontrolliert und beaufsichtigt, da er das wohl doch nicht so gut alleine kann.
Aber zurück zur FES-Studie: Wenn die Demokratie-Distanz wirklich so besorgniserregend hoch ist, würde mich interessieren, worin hätten die Menschen dem mehr Vertrauen: in eine Diktatur oder doch eine Monarchie oder irgendwas anderes?

Das Problem ist nicht die Demokratie an sich sondern eher, dass es in Deutschland einfach keinen Unterschied macht wen oder was man wählt. Der einzige Grund noch zur Wahl zu gehen ist, dass ein Einzug der NPD mit allen Mitteln verhindert werden sollte.
